Abstract:
Using data which were measured from H-S wavefront sensor of an AO system, power spectra density(PSD) was calculated and compared between open loop and close loop conditions. This method can be used to analyze the time domain compensation ability of an AO control system. As an example, the control ability of a 61 element adaptive optics system with PI or Smith control algorithm is compared.

Abstract:
Using a tapered waveguide Raman cell, the interaction region between the pumping laser beam and Raman media is increased. The power density decreased by the waveguide wall reflection is compensated by the narrowing of the tapered waveguide cross section. The Raman conversion efficiency is increased at some gas pressure of the Raman media. The uniformity of the first Stokes output is also improved by the tapered waveguide.

Laser beams profile at focal plane can be controlled using active mirror in ICF system because the beam's profile has strong relationship with the surface of active mirror, the surface of active mirror can be changed at any time and maintained for a long time. In this paper, the capabilities of fitting given wave front (computed by Geometric Transformation Method) at conditions of different actuator numbers and different arrangements have been investigated by computer simulation. The computing results present that the needed laser profile can obtained by adaptive optical technology.

Abstract:
In this paper, we use differential integral algorithm for optimal design of the binary optics beam splitter. Though the simulate result we can see, splitter designed by this method, when the shape and the intensity of the input changes, the output will keep relatively stable. The designed diffraction efficiency achieved 92.67%,and the nonuniformity of the intensity less than 0.002%.When the input changes from a Gaussian to a paranomal Gaussian, a rectangular facula with tiny random undulationa and a plane wave, the diffract ion efficiency could reach 89.60% at least, and the highest nonuniformity of the intensity is 11.49%.Consider about both the diffract ion efficiency and the nonuniformity of the intensity, this result better than that has been reported.

Abstract:
Dielectronic Recombination(DR) has been included in the solution of the rate equations in the average atom(AA) model. Employing the method proposed by Zao Libo and Li Shichang the DR rate coefficients was calculated. The results show that DR plays an important role in some cases in Al plasma and the average degree of ionization for Au plasma is sharply decreased after considering DR process.

Abstract:
The parameters of the laser on the wall of a cylindrical hohlraum and at the laser entrance holes have been calculated using geometry optics, including the position, shape and side of laser spots, as well as the intensity distribution inside the spots. The results are useful for analyzing the initial irradiation uniformity on the capsule and the irradiance on the wall of hohlraum and for effectively injecting laser into the hohlraum.

Abstract:
A two temperature model is proposed to deal with radiation uniformity. This model can provide pre estimate of radiation uniformity of laser configuration. It can deal the configurations whose geometrical structure make them very difficult to deal with by numerical simulation. The model is used to analyze the radiation non uniformity of planar target in hohlraum. It is found that the l =4, m =2 non uniformity is the most dangerous one.

Abstract:
Using the longitudinal propagating field method, the transverse electromagnetic fields expressed by the longitudinal fields are derived under the cylindrical coordinate for the homogeneous chiroplasma waveguide. The wave equations for the longitudinal fields are also derived and solved. By applying the boundary conditions at the cylindrical metal surface, aeigenvalue equations is derived. Numerical results for various parameters are presented, and many meaningful results are obtained.

The experimental measurement of the 3ω0/2 scattered light in plasmas which were produced by 1.06μs laser light irradiating gold disk targets is reported in the paper. The experiment results showed the emission of the 3ω0/2 light is obviously rippled and the breaking time between two emission is about 280ps, which is coincide with the calculation results from Two Plasmon Decay's saturation theory modeling. Also the average speed of the surface with 1/4 critical density moving to the opposite direction of the target nurmal is observed to be about 5. 0×107cm2.

Abstract:
Beijing Free Electron Laser Facility(BFEL)adopts a thermionic cathode microwave electron gun as its RF linac injector. For reletively long macro pulse operation, the back bombardment effect deteriorates the characteristics of the accelerated electron beam. So we developed a prediction based self adaptive feed forward control system to compensate for the beam loading. The system is operational and some experimental results have been obtained, which suggest that the system is effective to imp rove the beam quality, and that it's capable of dealing with complicated systems whose response is time-variable, nonlinear and of long delay.

Based on electron trajectory equation in drifting tube filled plasma, the focus properties of electron beam in two area were given in this paper. The pattern of electron beam transmission was described as electrons traveled wavelike around the equilibrium radius, the period and scope related to plasma density and electron velocity. The transmission properties of electrons under weak acceleration field were also studied in this paper, the result showed that the electron beam could focus and transmit without magnetic field by adjusting plasma parameters, voltage and electric field.

In this paper the dynamical behavior of the electron beam in the cross field planar diode is investigated by means of the one dimensional particle in cell simulation. The superposition and splitting characteristics of fields in a rectangular stepped waveguide are analyzed with the way of matched field. By using numerical method, the relationship between distribution of fields and the transmission distance is studied. And the process of one TE 10 wave beam splitting to two is modeled by computer. The theoretical results not only are useful for divising relevant devices but also offer preparation for further work in studying FEM system.

In this paper, the fractographs of pressurized aluminum cylindrical tanks damaged by the inner pressure and laser irradiation have been analyzed. It is found that the mechanism of crack formation and development in the area irradiated by the laser beam is ductile because there are many ductile dimples in the fractographs. Some fractographs show that there are two layers on the shell wall due to the stress distribution, the outer one was induced by the plastic deformation, and the inner one consists of many ductile dimples. The relations between the stress distribution and cracks, also the development process of crack, are discussed in this paper, which is conducible to better theoretical study on this problem

The effects of some growth conditions on KDP crystals were studied. It was found that the coordination ligand EDTA used in purification has no significant effect. Crystals grown from aged solution show much improved laser scattering condition and give higher values of laser damage threshold. The existence of poly phosphates seriously affects the growing habit of the crystals and decrease the laser damage threshold significantly.

A set of instrument has been built up by means of the combination of a schlieren with a one dimension array of ultraviolet opticelectrical diode and a simultaneously triggered oscilloscope, which is use in monitoring and measurement the damage state and the threshold on the high reflection (HR) and the anti reflection (AR) coatings under the irradiation of the 308nm excimer laser. By this instrument, the waveforms of the whole damage process which contained the initial, the deepening and the saturated sestages of the damage, have been investigated. The measured damage threshold is about 1.7 J/cm2 at zero incident angle and 1.0 J/cm2 at 45°incident angle for the HR coating, and 1.29 J/cm2 for the AR coating. And also some analysis about the experiment result has been given damage.
