Abstract:
In order to improve the irradiation uniformity of spherical target for laser direct driven sfsion, it is necessary optimizing the configuration of beams. By analyzing the geometrical factor of the spherical-harmonic modes, the general rules are proposed for optimizing the configuration of beams. According to the rules, one can obtain higher irradiation uniformity under the case of limited number of beams. Some typical examples that satisfy the rules are psented.

Abstract:
A measure system, which is made up of doubleslits, a transmission grating and a softXray streak camera, has been made for measuring an Xray image with time, space and spectra resolutions. With this system the Nband Xray (the central wavelength at 1.7nm) spacetime resolved image of gold disk irradiated by 0.35μm laser has been obtained successfully. The system can achieve spatial resolution of 23μm, time resolution of 0.03nm, and spectral resolution of 0.4~0.7μm for the Xray at 1.7nm wavelength if the size of Xray source is 100~ 300μm. The system can also measure the X ray at the other spectral bands.

Abstract:
Asymmetry of radiation-drien implosion on Shenguang Ⅱ facility is studied by means of 2D numerical simulations. It is shown from 2D simulation results that asymmetry of the capsule implosion is very sensitive to the non-uniformity of radiation temperature source but the maximum DT average compssion ratio is not sensitive to it. It is also shwn that the asymmetry of implosion has some influence upon the neutron yield as well as the implosion efficiency. The radiation-driven implosion asymmetry can be obviously improved using time-modulation of radiation temperature source.

A annular output unstable resonator with 90° beam rotation suitable for high-power supersonic chemical oxgen-iodine lasers (COIL) is given, intensity distribution of lowest-order mode with inhom ogeneous distribution of small signal gain is calculated by FFT method.The prop erties of forward mode and reverse mode of this resonator at magnification M=1.21 and 1.3 are studied by copper vapor laser experiments, a good experimental result is obtained.

Abstract:
By taking PV-type InSb detector for example, the dynamics model describing the carriers transportion is established, and then the function relation between the potovoltage and the incident light power density is obtained. Thus, a new method to eliminate the disturbance of intense background radiation to PV-type InSb detector is proposed. Contrasting with the conventional zero-set method, such a new method can be applicable to more powerful background radiation accurately. Using conbinatin of straight and folded ring down cavity technique, the high reflectivity of COIL mirrors at 1.315μm has been pcisely measured. The experimental results show that the reflectivity is as high as 99.931% with measuring accuracy 10-5.Mirrors measured can be opaque with any size at any angle of reflection. A cavity with lower reflectivity mirrors can be used to measure the higher reflectivity mirrors.

Abstract:
For Ni-like ions with nuclear charge Z from 47 to 75 and Z =41, 79 elements, which are suitable for use as the actuating medium in X-ray laser research,energy structures and atomic process parameters are calculated systematically. By comparing and fitting to some experimental results, the calculated wavelengths are corrected, and experimental accuracy has been obtained for all the ions considered. The dependence of laser line oscillator strength on nuclear charge has been illustrated. According to the parameters of Ni-like Nd ions, an explanation is given about why some important spectrum lines can't be amplified.

Abstract:
The pulse laser damage thresholds of GaAs target irradiated by three different CW laser power density were given after the experimental investigation on the combined damage of the GaAs target with 1.06μm CW and pulse laser irradiation. The results show that combined damage thresholds were less than the separate ones. The surface temperature distributions and temperature rise at the surface center caused by CW laser irradiation were calculated according to two-dimension heat transfer equation. In the end, the experimental and calculated results were analysed, with the emphasis on the comparision of combined damage and separate damage.

Abstract:
A high voltage bipolar pulse generated by self-breakdown switch filled in nitrogen and radiated by coaxial-conic antenna is described. It consists of the pulse power systems, switches, bipolar pulse forming line(BPFL) and UWB antenna. The bipolar pulse with the voltage~±100kV, duration≤3.6ns and pulse rate single, 10Hz and 100Hz is realized; and the radiation from the antenna with bandwidth from 150MHz to 1GHz, and peak power radiated efficiency ~65% has been obtained.
