Lapping technique for titanium spherical surface

摘要: 采用四轴球体研磨方法对金属钛球进行精密研磨实验,通过Talysurf轮廓仪对球体表面粗糙度进行测试,通过靶丸表面轮廓仪检测钛球圆度。结果表明:钛球表面粗糙度可达小于10 nm,圆度小于1.0 m。通过对球体的受力分析表明,在四轴空间对称分布的情况下,需满足四轴受力基本相同,研具半径为被研球体的0.816倍,可获得圆度较好的球体。Abstract: The whole sphere lapping is important to fabrication of a metal capsule (hollow microsphere) which is a vital part of the ignition target. In this paper, the metal titanium sphere was machined by using the four-axis sphere lapping technique. The surface roughness was characterized by means of talysurf series 2 and the roundness by means of surface profile-meter. The results indicated that the surface roughness of the part was less than 10 nm and the roundness was less than 1.0 m.
