柱压缩测量辐射不透明度靶的数值模拟

摘要: 用数值模拟研究用高功率强激光驱动柱压缩产生低温度密度梯度的高温高密度等离子体的可能性,研究了可能获得的高温高密度等离子体状态的范围,并估计了此类靶中Rayleigh-Taylor不稳定性和Richtmyer-Meshkov不稳定性产生的危害程度。结果表明柱压缩可以产生比较均匀的等离子体状态,可以用于辐射不透明度的实验测量。Abstract: Cylindrical implosion is of great interest because of its excellent diagnostic access. We present one-dimensional numerical simulations to explore the plasma conditions that may be achieved. Combined with the numerical data, the development of Rayleigh-Taylor instabilities and Richtmyer-Meshkov instabilities in those targets are estimated. We found that it is possible to achieve a high density and temperature plasma with a relatively low temperature and density gradient using a cylindrical implosion directly-driven by a high-power laser.
