等离子体电极棚电光开关实验研究

摘要: 设计建造了以辉光放电形成的等离子体作电极,通光口径为80mm×80mm的普克尔盒实验,实验检测了它的开关性能。阐述了普克尔盒的结构,辉光放电等离子体电极的形成,开关驱动脉冲的产生及输出特性,电光开关的开关效率和开关速度的检测方法,给出了典型的实验结果。Abstract: Electro-optical switch with plasma electrodes is one of critical components in high power ICF drivers based on the large aperture multipass amplifier array scheme. To investigate problems related to this technology an 80mm 80mm Pockels cell using a plasma electrode formed by a glow discharge on either side of a KDP crystal was designed and constructed and the switching performance was tested. This letter describes the configuration of the Pockels cell, the plasma electrode formation by glow discharge, the switch pulse generation and output performance, as well as the measurement of the switching speed and the switching efficiency across the aperture. Some typical results in the switching experiment are given.
