Initial design considerations of PKU-FEL

摘要: 北京大学在其超导加速器装置PKU-SCAF的基础上将建成一个红外自由电子激光实验平台PKU-FEL。它可以提供高稳定度、高平均功率、高谱纯度、ps脉冲的自由电子激光。给出了PKU-FEL的初步设计方案。Abstract: Peking University is planning to put up a FEL facilityPKU-FEL, which will be used as a tool for experimental studies on nonlinear transient physical process, chemical kinetics, molecular biology, material science, etc. Based on PKU-SCAF, a superconducting accelerator facility, PKU-FEL has the characteristics of high stability and high average power. Moreover, wavelength of PKU-FEL will cover the band from about 3 to 23μm and the pulse duration will be about 2ps. This paper gives a brief description of the design considerations.
