Comparison of Gaussian and Weibull models used for gas switch self-breakdown probability analysis

摘要: 利用实测的多间隙气体开关自击穿电压,比较了高斯正态函数和威布尔函数在分析气体开关自击穿概率方面的异同。检验了自击穿电压的正态性和威布尔性,通过参数估计分别确定了自击穿电压的正态分布和威布尔分布函数。计算表明:两种概率分布得出的概率分析结果基本一致,在相同电压下放电概率差别一般不大于1%,最大为2%(当放电概率大于90%时);在电压高于威布尔分布的阈值参数时,两种方法在相同概率下的放电电压计算结果差别不超过0.3%。Abstract: Gaussian and Weibull functions which are used to analyze self-breakdown probabilities of a gas switch are compared. Following an experiment, the self-breakdown voltages of a multi-stage switch are verified to apply a Gaussian distribution as well as a Weibull distribution, and then these two distributions are determined by using a parameter estimation method. The self-breakdown probability analysis shows that the results of these two models are in good agreement. For the same voltage, the difference of the self-breakdown probabilities given by these two methods is normally 1%, and the difference is no more than 2% for the probability greater than 90%. For the same self-breakdown probability, the calculated voltages using these two models have a difference of not more than 0.3%.
