DPF-300 pulsed X-ray source is a mather-type dense plasma focus device and the synchronous triggering of 40 switches is the key of the device. This paper introduces the structural model, principle and performance of the the synchronous trigger system. The system triggers by three steps in series. Firstly, the initial pulsed generator triggers a hydrogenous thyratron. Secondly, the thyratron triggers the multi-output switch. Thirdly, the multi-output switch triggers the main discharge switch. The system can synchronously trigger 40 coaxial field distortion switches. The triggering voltage scope of activities is 20~40 kV, rise time of the triggering pulse is about 40 ns, pulsed width is about 60 ns, and the rise gradient of the triggering voltage is about 0.67 kV/ns.
