This paper has investigated the high voltage pulse on the lowimpedance load(19 Ω) generated by the pulse transformer driven by the electrically exploded opening switch. It has built a lump-parameter circuit model by the Ansoft Simplorer 7 code to simulate the circuit behavior and got the simulation results which agree with the experiment well. The preliminary investigation showed that the pulse transformer driven by the EEOS was impossible to generate super-high voltage pulse on low-impedance load, but the transformer could extend the pulse width obviously. This behavior has the potential to be used in the situation which needs long width voltage pulse.
