To measure impact flash generated during hypervelocity impact and further investigate rules of impact flash intensity varying with time, which is generated by hypervelocity impact at close impact velocities and different incidence angles from target plane, a transient impact flash measurement pyrometer suitable for transient flash measurement is designed. LY12 aluminum spherical projectile is loaded by two stage light gas gun, using transient pyrometer measurement system designed measure impact flash phenomena, which was generated by LY12 aluminum projectile impacted the LY12 aluminum target at close impact velocity and different impact angles of 30°,45°,60° and 90°.
