Using the self-regulating new micro-sphere electrodepositing device, the techniques of electrodepositing gold on hollow PS micro-spheres were established. The experiment was carried out under the following conditions:voltage was about 0.7~0.8 V, current density was 2.0 mA·cm-2, the temperature was 45 ℃, cathode rotating rate was 250 r·min-1, flow rate of the solution was 7 mL·min-1·cm-1. Hollow goldplated micro-spheres were prepared with well spherical symmetr, uniform thickness and surface smoothness under 500 nm. The speed of the gold depositing was 6 μm·h-1.
