From the point of impedance matching between the probe and the grounding electrode plate, spectral response characteristics of plasmas generated by hypervelocity impact have been obtained through theoretical analysis of corresponding characteristic parameters diagnostic system. Then a kind of probe measurement system suitable for diagnosing plasma generated by hypervelocity impact was established, and power spectral characteristics were obtained for plasmas generated by solid sphere LY12 aluminum projectile impacting LY12 aluminum target.
