Characteristics of hybrid photodiodes based on organic-ZnO nanowires

  • One-dimensional ZnO nanowires were fabricated by using the hydrothermal technique. By changing the orientation of the ZnO nanowires (horizontal and vertical) and using differentp-type semiconductor materials, hybrid organic-ZnO nanowire photodiodes were prepared. Related characteristics of the photodiodes were investigated. When a forward voltage is applied, the photocurrent is greater under illumination than that without illumination. When a reverse voltage is applied, the result is opposite. The photocurrent is also related to the light intensity on photodiodes. The greater the light intensity is, the greater the current is.
